How We Started

Eighteen years ago, I started this company with almost no experience. That sounds reckless now, but at the time it made sense. Every contractor I called treated projects like just another Tuesday. They moved fast, cut corners, and disappeared when issues showed up. I wanted something different.

I began working alongside the best architects and designers I could find. I wasn't trying to run a business yet. I was trying to learn. I watched how they approached problems, how they talked to clients, how they thought about details that no one would ever see. They taught me that every choice matters, even the invisible ones.

Those early years were slow. I made mistakes. I've had projects where we rebuilt sections because we refused to ship something we weren't proud of. Clients thought we were crazy. But something shifted. People started calling us back not because they had to, but because they wanted the same team again.

What We Believe

Caring about how your work ships isn't just a nice idea. We've watched projects suffer because teams cut quality at the end. We don't do that. You notice it in small ways—joints that fit perfectly, finishes that hold up, details that still look right after five years. This matters because you live or work in these spaces every day. Bad work gets worse with time. Good work gets better.

We've also learned that ideas don't stay ideas. They become real. And when they do, they need to work. We've had hundreds of conversations that started with 'wouldn't it be cool if...' and turned into something that exceeded what anyone imagined. That only happens when the team believes anything is possible, and then proves it.

The collaboration piece changed everything for us. We don't have all the answers. We never did. But surrounded by smart architects, designers, and people who care deeply about craft, we became capable of more than any of us could alone.
